I'm a freelance journalist and research consultant based in Southwest Washington. I cover climate and the environment, with a focus on justice and equity. Previously, I’ve worked as a reporter for Floodlight News, the Texas Observer, and as a fact-checker at Texas Monthly. My work has also been published in a variety of outlets, including Grist, Southerly, The Atlantic, CityLab, The Texas Tribune, The Guardian, The Nation, and Popular Science.
My work has won awards from the Society of Professional Journalists and the Sierra Club, and it’s been cited by members of Congress. I’ve been invited to speak at journalism classes across the country, including the University of Missouri’s Smith Patterson Science Journalism Lecture.
